not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight"

Proverbs 3: 5-6

10.30am - Holy Communion
  4.00pm - Evening Prayer

We warmly welcome you to join us for refreshments after our service

Collect - 5th of Easter
Eternal God, whose Son Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life; grant us to walk in his way, to rejoice in his truth, and to share his risen life; who is alive and reigns, now and for ever.  Amen

                                    Notices

We now have a book for any problems that are found in the fabric of the Church.  If anyone notices that something needs fixing, ie a broken chair, a tap that won't turn off, please make a note of it in this book, so that it can be looked at and repaired (hopefully).  Thank you.

Food Bank Team,  We are on duty next at St Leonard’s on the 31st May.
With grateful thanks to everyone who helps us so much.

Children's Society - Many thanks to all house box holders for the donations totaling £438.48 covering a six month period.  I am most grateful for your support.  If you would like a box please do speak to me and I will be more than pleased to let you have one.

Home Communion will be taken out on the 4th June. If you know of anyone who would like to have Communion at home please see or contact Norma in Church.

The Office
for bookings of Weddings and Baptisms will take place on Thursday
6th June 2019  from 7.00pm – 8.00pm in St. Philip’s Church. Please contact Alan Finch on 928 3919 if necessary.

Pastoral Visitation - Pastoral visitation is an important part of any church's ministry and can't just be done by one person.  With that in mind, we would like to set up official visitation teams who work in collaboration with the clergy.  In this day of political correctness and GDPR, there are certain measures that we need to follow when visiting.  With that in mind we have asked Bob Banton from the Diocese to run a 4 week course (one evening a week) on pastoral visitation after Easter.  Would you be interested in being part of the pastoral visitation team?  If so, can you give your name to Andrew or Alan asap.  Once we have numbers, we can let Bob know, and sort out a start date.  Thank you.

Prayer/Study Group
- meet at Norma's on a Monday evening at 7.30pm.  Everyone welcome.

Articles needed for the magazine - We really do need articles for our magazine.  Maybe you have memories to share about St Philips or Litherland; a poem or story that has made you smile, or a photograph of past  times.  Hope to hear from you - Pauline.
