MUSIC FESTIVAL 2017

  A WONDERFUL EVENING - WE RAISED £385.00

Sefton Sea Cadets Glee Club has been established since 2011, they have raised over £10,000 for local charities including their own charity Sefton Sea Cadets.  They still have two of the original members singing in the group, which is led by Mr Brian Campbell and his team and helpers.

Eric Mates first remembers singing in the air raid shelter during the May 1941 blitz.  He sang with St Philip's Church choir before moving to West Kirby.  He has been a member of West Kirkby Light Opera Society since 1970, taking many principal roles.

The Two Jims - writing and chess playing friends who play country, folk and pop.  The quiet band but what a sound!

Jo Housley (accompanied by Reverend Martin Adams) has been singing since she was a child and has a particular passion for Church Music.  She is currently the guest of Rainford Parish Church Choir and sings with them for various services including Evensong.

Nova Scotia Band - The original band was formed in 1990 playing the local pubs in Liverpool and later folk festivals across Europe.  Based in Crosby the present line up is Gerry Fox on lead vocals, George Wilson on bodrahn, harmonica and vocals, Jenny Noland on accordion and whistle and Jon Turton on Uilleann pipes

The Family Band - All members of the same family, playing together for the first time.
